How often should I review my financial plan?
There’s no one-size-fits-all schedule for reviewing a financial plan. For many people, an annual review provides an opportunity to evaluate progress, revisit goals, and determine whether adjustments are needed.
However, certain life events may warrant a review sooner. These can include retirement, a career change, marriage or divorce, the birth of a child or grandchild, an inheritance, the sale of a business, or a significant change in your financial circumstances.
Regular reviews can also help you stay aware of changes that may affect your financial strategy, including tax considerations, retirement income strategies, investment objectives, and estate-planning needs.
We view financial planning as an ongoing process. We work with clients to revisit their plans as their circumstances and goals evolve, helping keep their financial strategies aligned with what matters most to them.
